Meet George.
George was the stuffed friend of choice to attend my double tubal ear surgery that became eminent after an ear infection that 6 months and some equal number of antibiotics later, wouldn't go away.
He thought he was just tagging along to keep me company but when we woke up, George was bandaged too. So innocent, poor George.
Although...don't feel too, too bad for George. I mean, he did get off easy- he didn't have to suffer through months of dueling ear infections that lead up to this moment. I suppose, however, on the other hand, this could seem like cruel and unusual punishment considering the lack of pre-existing condition.
Oh well, if you're gonna be friends with me, you're gonna have to be tough.
Since this post, although dated the date of my surgery, is...oh...some 4 months late, you should know that I am 100% recovered and truly 100% better. Since January, I have had no ear infections- which is a big change from the never ending ones I had endured since about 6 months of age- and my hearing and speech have improved dramatically. Both my parents and I agree (jury is still out on George) that despite all the worry and pain, this has been a hugely positive decision.
