I had so much fun getting gobbled up by all the Millers! Thank you all so much for the visit!

Funny Bunny

Apparently there is a bunny that brings you presents for this Easter holiday. Luckily I had my Zara, Tia and Shane to celebrate with me! I got lots of new stuff including new clothes and a book from Zara and Tia, a funny bunny, a new cup and these really cool clear balls that disappear when you touch them!

Thank you so much for everything Zara, Tia and Shane! I had so much fun spending time with you!

Soon-to-be Miller Time

Well, just to make matters simpler, we are all becoming Millers. Yes, my Zara is getting married this fall and she too will be a Miller. That will make my grandparents on both sides Millers. I have a feeling I will be explaining more than once the fact that my parents really aren't brother and sister ;-)!

Either way, we are all excited and thankful that we got some time to spend with this soon-to-be Miller clan over the Easter holiday. Zara, Tia and Shane spent a few days with us just having fun- Clear Lake Shores style.

10 months young!

Alright folks...we're almost there! 10 months down, 2 to go until the big day!
At 10 months I am busy as ever and even more lovable! No check up this month, but I do have a few new tricks up my sleeve...
Here are a few examples: Unrolling toilet paper, turning the bath water on and off and waiting under the spicket, I can drink out of a straw, I pick up cell phones (my favorite) and put them to my ear, I officially sign the ASL sign for milk (who would've guessed this would be first?), I sometimes wave goodbye (we think...this is awfully similar to the ASL sign for milk, so I may just be asking for more of that), I climb onto and over just about anything, I have been seen to take as many as 5 steps at a time (Aunt Haley witnessed this) and I understand and respond to the word 'no'. I do all this and yet I still don't say "ma-ma". Ha! I am going to make her work for it!

Paintin' Practice

So...my mom has been tellin' me about this other holiday called Easter. She says we are supposed to paint eggs and since I've never painted nothing before, she decided we should practice. It just so happened that that very next day my Grammy sent me some fancy paints perfect for practicin'. They said on the package that these paints were for babies who are 18 months and older but we figured we'd give it a try anyhow...
So, outside we went...I tried a little orange (mainly on my lips, but don't worry the package also said 'non-toxic' although mommy said that wasn't an excuse to just eat it...) then a little purple...

Then, about 30 seconds later, mommy decided it was probably best to play with the colors that were still in the package. Even though my parents like to think that I'm pretty smart, I am apparently not yet qualified to play with toys marked for babies twice my age...

One more, don't ya think?

Daddy... I need one...

this one will do just fine...

Or we could take several- whatever you think da-da.

Hardly workin'

I know, I know...we've been slackin' on our bloggin', but trust me it's not because we're sitting home all day watching soap operas and eating bon-bons (at least that's what we tell daddy ;-). About a month ago, I decided that naps were for babies. And, being that I am nine months old, I only need one...a short one. Most days I do sleep for about 2 hours, but these sissy naps can be as short as 45 minutes. This, of course, makes mommy's job of bloggin' and buildin' and house cleanin' slightly more challenging...not that we're making excuses.

The house on Pine Road is coming along nicely though and we hope to be finished with it by about the beginning of May. Don't worry, still no bon-bons in our future though...we've been preparing to start another house about the time we finish this one. Keep checking my Day Job blog to watch the progress (although we're even worse about keepin' up with that one...we're multi-tasking here people and we are doing our best!)

I'm gonna be a cousin!

Guess what!!! I am finally going to have some of my own flesh and blood that I can beat up on! Aunt Quinny and Uncle Dave are happily getting ready for Baby T (click on the highlighted part and we'll connect you to baby Turocy's own blog- it is also linked on the side with all our other favorite places to visit :-). We are expecting him or her in early October (although Mommy says we know how that goes...).
Congratuations Aunt Quinny and Uncle Dave! We are all so excited for you!
