26 weeks and growing...a little

We have just about hit the third trimester mark! Yeah! Blayne is growing, but she is just not ready to really put herself out there yet...if this is any indication of how she might act come the 9 month mark, we are in big trouble.

We have our monthly check-up tomorrow, so we'll keep everyone informed of her progress according to the professionals. We are all doing well despite the usual suspects, and enjoying what is left of our quiet time alone.

Also, a HUGE thank you to all of you who have sent gifts to our baby-to-be! We have received many little (and not so little) packages of wonderful things to help us care for and entertain our baby girl. Thank you all so much for your love and support, it is all greatly appreciated.

24 weeks

And the belly pictures begin...

We have had many a request for some "belly shots", so here ya go! She is one busy baby in there...not only is she growing and getting stronger, she is flipping and kicking and just having a grand ole time!

23 weeks and counting...

Here are some pretty amazing 3D photos of BAM-BAM back at 20 weeks. We have a friend who is an OB and we had some fun with the 3D machine back when we determined the sex of our little baby girl.

In this first photo, Blayne has her tiny little hands over her eyes. She may be sucking her left thumb and you can even make out the thumb of her right hand which is closer to her ear.

This picture is a little more difficult to decipher, but if you look closely, you'll see that in the top left quadrant of the picture you get a 3D profile shot and can make out her right eye, ear, nose and mouth. Again she has got her left hand over her face...she must be doing some intense work in there!

These 3D machines are not intended to take pictures of babies at the 20 week mark which is why they are a little fuzzy, but, we will hopefully get the opportunity to go again and "play" with the machine at about 30 weeks and get a better look at our baby.

22 week check-up

BAM-BAM and I had our 22 week check-up yesterday and all is well. We got the results from the 20 week ultrasound and everything looks "normal"- quite a feat for a child comprised of Ian and my genes, so we are more than pleased thus far.

Her heartbeat sounds good, weight gain looks good (only 3lbs for me since last month; not bad for a pregnant lady over the holidays...although I don't recall anyone offering pickles and ice-cream) and despite fundal height being on target, the ultrasound measurements want to push the due date back to the 15th from the 9th of May. Luckily our Dr. took that with a grain of salt and said to continue planning for the original date.

I for one, am planning to convince our little girl to agree to make her debut on Cinco de Mayo. A great day for a celebration and a long awaited margarita! We'll see how well she cooperates.

20 weeks

Baby Miller: 20 weeks

Here is the second set of official photos of our little baby:

The first picture in the sequence -apparently- announces to the world that baby miller is in fact a she. The next photo is a profile where you can see her sucking her thumb (we can already hear the cha-ching of braces), and the final shot is baby Blayne waving hello; her debut on the internet. It must be nice to be a child of the 21st century, only 20 weeks old and she already has her own blog...we're very proud!
